Q: Can I use my STAP funds for Fitness classes?
A: No. However, benefits-eligible Stanford University employees who have completed the SHALA are eligible for two group fitness classes each quarter at the reduced rate of $30 per class.
Q: Can I use my STAP funds for Healthy Living Classes?
A: Yes, most of our Healthy Living classes are STAP approved.
Q: Can my partner take classes with me?
A: Yes. Spouses/registered domestic partners of benefits-eligible Stanford University employees may attend Healthy Living and Fitness Classes. However, they are not eligible for any discounts.
Q: Do Stanford Alumni qualify for discounts?
A: No. However, we welcome Stanford alumni to participate in all our classes.
Q: Will I be dropped from class if I am unable to make the first few classes?
A: No.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Fitness Classes: Please contact us within one week of the start of the quarter to receive a refund. No refunds will be issued after the first week of class. A $10.00 processing fee will be charged for all refunds. Please contact our office for refunds due to medical reasons. No refunds will be given for missed classes.

Healthy Living: Please contact us at least 24 hours before your first class to receive a refund or credit (unless otherwise noted in class description). A $10 processing fee will be charged for all credit card refunds. No credits or refunds will be issued for missed classes or digital apps. Please contact our office for refunds due to medical reasons.

Q: Can I drop in to a class before deciding to sign up?
A: Yes, please show up 5 minutes before the class begins and ask the teacher if there is room in the class. The teacher will grant access if there is space.
Q: How can I contact my instructor?
A: Contact us by phone at 650-723-9649 or email at healthimprovement@stanford.edu and we will forward your message to your instructor.
Q: How do I cancel a class (I’ve registered for)?
A: You can either call us 650-723-9649 or come by our office 3300 Hillview Ave, Suite B. Cancellations cannot be accepted by email.
Q: Where is the closest parking to my class?
A: Visit the P&TS Parking and Circulation Map to find the most convenient parking.
Q: How can I get the reduced BeWell price of $30 for a class?
A: To get the BeWell discount for fitness classes, you must be a benefits-eligible university employee and have completed the SHALA. You must be signed into your BeWell account to apply the $30 discounted rate.
