Alexandria Blacker, MPH
Wellness Manager, Stanford Health Care
Alex is a dedicated health professional and epidemiologist, passionate about using her leaderships skills and expertise in the field to enhance the health care experience of patients and clinics, with a strong focus on the quadruple aim. She received her master’s in public health with a concentration in epidemiology and has experience in community health, chronic condition management, health coaching and epidemiological research.
Alex has had the pleasure of working with Stanford in both the health care and University settings. As a Stanford Healthcare employee, Alex worked for the Stanford Coordinated Care clinic and managed the disease management program for employees and staff. She also worked closely with her colleagues to assist in the change management efforts for the Primary Care redesign implementation by developing educational curriculum and go-live execution with physicians, clinic managers, and team members.
Now, as a University employee, Alex works as part of the HealthySteps to Wellness team as the Wellness Manager for Stanford Healthcare. In this role, she works cross-functionally with department heads to design and manage wellness-based trainings. As a highly experienced educator, she has developed curricula in positive psychology, stress management, and behavior change. She has conducted hundreds of trainings and is currently researching health outcomes, enhancing program evaluation and streamlining processes to increase overall program efficiency and effectiveness.
